Frequently Asked Questions And Policies
What is an Esthetician and why should I visit one?
An esthetician is not a medical practitioner and will not diagnose, treat or prescribe medications or procedures that requires a medical license. Because estheticians are focused on healthy skincare, if they notice an early sign of a medical condition on your skin, they may refer you to a dermatologist. An esthetician can help you achieve a healthier, more radiant complexion by providing treatments and products that help protect your skin from day-to-day environmental hazards.
How often should I have a facial?
We recommend a facial every 4-6 weeks to help you maintain a healthy and glowing complexion. In some cases, we may recommend more frequent visits in order to get skin conditions under control.
What brand of skincare products do you use?
At Redefine You, we use Circadia, a professional skincare line founded by Dr. Peter T. Pugilese, a well-respected physician and research and development formulator specializing in the science of skin and aging. Circadia products are made with a carefully curated mix of pure botanicals, second-generation vitamins, innovative peptide technology, and stem cells to offer effective formulations that help you achieve peak skin health and beauty. They are intended for use on all skin types.
Are there any contradictions I could tell you as my esthetician?
We may perform a high frequency therapy treatment that should not be performed on pregnant women and clients with pacemakers or metal implants. Please notify us of this before proceeding so that we are able to ensure your safety. Please also notify us of any known allergies as well when booking your appointment.
